Raita (Yogurt Sauce)

Stirring

Raita, the quintessential sauce in South East Asian cuisine.  It is a yogurt based sauce, which can be mixed with a variety of herbs, spices… raita is pretty much treated the way hummus is treated, it’s a base that you build on to make your own special version.

On a plate 2

Raita is mostly served with spicy food.  The yogurt works as a cooling agent when your mouth is on fire from that spicy curry!  It’s extremely easy and goes on just about anything from rice, meats, veggies, etc.
