Garlic Fried Eggs

Garlic Fried Eggs

Get your daily dosage of garlic early on!

Did you know that ancient Egyptians are known to be the first to cultivate this plant.  They even put garlic in the tomb of Pharaohs :0  Just dropping some early morning knowledge on you 🙂

Garlic is known to have a ton of health benefits including lowering blood pressure, maintaining cholesterol and even preventing alzheimer’s disease…. just to name a few.  So start the day right and get some garlic in you.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (olive oil works great as well)
  • Salt & pepper to taste (I used a lot of black pepper, but that’s completely optional)

Instructions:

  • Heat a small pan on low heat (do not skip this step, as that may cause your eggs to stick to the pan)
  • Add the oil and let it get hot (keep the heat low)
  • Add the garlic and sauté until it’s just starting to turn light brown (don’t let it turn brown)
  • Crack the eggs in the oil and cover
  • Let it cook covered for 3-4 minutes
  • Uncover and sprinkle with salt and pepper
