Avocado is a berry!! Yeah, really!! So if you are skeptical about a green smoothie, just embrace it like you would a berry smoothie.
Just like everyone else, I too take part in the Avocado craze. I love avocado as breakfast (on toast), lunch (in my sandwich), dinner (in my salad), as well as a party favorite, guacamole. And now, I love it in my smoothie.
I used to make another version of this smoothie, it involved ice cream and honey. As much as I loved my version, I have to say that the Food Network version is kinda better! The condensed milk makes it really really creamy. Since I’ve discovered this recipe, I’ve had it for breakfast 4 days in a row 🙂 Seriously, give it a whirl!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 avocados (I use less avocado than suggested in the original recipe)
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups ice
- Some ice cold water (if needed)
Instructions:
- Add the condensed milk, milk and ice in a blender and process until smooth.
- Add the avocado flesh, blend until super smooth. Add ice water if needed to thin it out a little.
